Convention Dates and LocationThe 2008 convention will be held April 4-5, 2008 at RiverGlen Christian Church in Waukesha, WI.
Convention Theme The speaker for the 2008 Wisconsin Christian Convention will be Dr. LeRoy Lawson, International Consultant for Christian Missionary Fellowship International, a leading mission organization associated with Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. This dynamic speaker will present messages based on the theme "Called to Serve." -- Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” and the Apostle Paul exhorts us to use our unique gifts to serve others. Come find out why passionate service is the lifeblood of Christian faith. -- Not knowing your own spiritual gifts can be a real stumbling block to service. Dr. LeRoy Lawson guides us toward uncovering our gifts and learning how to put them to good use in God’s Kingdom.
Our MissionThe Wisconsin Christian Convention provides an annual gathering for the encouragement of Christ's Body in Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula through quality worship, learning, and fellowship experiences. We carry out this mission by: -- Planning an annual non-delegate, family gathering for Christ's Body in Wisconsin and the U.P. -- Offering classes and programs for infants through high school. -- Offering an adult program of preaching sessions and workshops which address topics related to daily Christian life. -- Offering teen sessions consisting of worship, workshops, and recreation. -- Offering children's sessions for age 2 through elementary grade consisting of worship, workshops, and recreation. -- Offering child care for infants up to age 2. -- Providing for the annual meeting and updating of current information about the WCMA.
